Projects by the NGO Cidades sem Fome act in line with the UN SDGs; Know which ones

Text By André Rosa

Since 2015, the United Nations (UN) has proposed to its member countries a new sustainable development agenda for the next 15 years, the so-called Agenda 2030, composed by 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to the international organization - created in 1945 after the end of the Second World War - and whose objective is to seek to maintain peace, promote human rights and world development through cooperation between countries, the Sustainable Development Goals are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere enjoy peace and prosperity.

Of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the Cities Without Hunger Organization are structured and act in consonance in at least 10 of them, such as: eradicating poverty and hunger; promote sustainable agriculture; health and wellness; decent work and economic growth; reduction of inequalities; sustainable cities and communities; responsible consumption and production; actions to combat global climate change among others.

Below, the SDG seals already adopted by the Cidades sem Fome Organization projects for a better world by 2030.
